Hi all, I am considering flying out to west coast (CA) and renting a car to drive back across country to NYC. While Avis is normally a cheaper rental for me than Hertz when I run the numbers for a one way cross country drive Hertz comes out way ahead of Avis. Am I just looking at the wrong locations or is Hertz indeed a much more economical option when it comes to cross country one way rentals? Anyone done such a thing via Avis and have any advice on obtaining best deals? Thanks!
