I called last month for a retention offer on my UMP Card, nothing at all. Decided to call last week and was offered 5000 United miles, I asked if she can bump it to 10000 (in hind sight I think I should have asked for 15000 miles). Agent put in a request to the marketing department to approve 10k miles. Got a letter in the mail today that 10k miles will be deposited in my account in 30 days. The fees is basically a wash with the miles.
