I honestly don't notice much difference in the types of places that use real tableware vs. disposable between the U.S. and U.K. That is, a common category of dining where the American version uses disposable and the British version doesn't. Food trucks/kebab vans in both places use disposable. Most American sportsbars and English pubs both use real stuff. Pure fast food uses disposable.

Maybe those turnpike/motorway service areas? I seem to recall those being treated more as full-service restaurants in the U.K. and fast food in the U.S. But that's probably more about who and how those places are operated, not a big cultural difference.
