Do you expect to travel away from Portland every weekend? If you think you'll stick around as many as 2 weekends per month, you may want to investigate monthly rates. I've done them at a Residence Inn (long-stay Marriott brand) at approx. 23 times my daily corporate rate. That's a brand where such stays are common, so I don't know how or if a FS city hotel would do a similar deal. That was nice because when I did fly home, I just left all my stuff in the hotel room.
