My anecdotal feeling is you could be correct although I hope you are wrong. A very un premium trip to Hong Kong yesterday in old regional J from SIN. Couldn't wait to get off! No welcome towels, no welcome message from the ISM (god help us! ) The food choices apart from the laksa looked disgusting as well - but overall a disjointed crew if some of the youngsters did try hard but the ISM was not on the ball. Over the last year its been more 1/2 1/3 bad rather than the 1/10 I used to perceive. Maybe its me of course but I don't think I am particularly demanding. In all fairness the HKG - HND was good but then that is a kind of flagship regional route and the question does always cross my mind why Japan always gets better everything even though the timing is the same. I do know the premium nature of the route but really its like chalk and cheese from HKG-HND to HKG-SIN.
