when my travel plans are flexible or i am on a cheap fare with a long connection, i often monitor SDC options to accrue more miles, get a better connection, or get onto flights with better odds of battlefield upgrades. in this case i dont check in early as it is more of a pain to jump on SDC options when already checked in.
