Another vote for Badrutt's Palace... A truly peak experience with exemplary service. The concierge (Guiseppe, immaculately attired) had a gavel! At any request, he would hit his desk with the gavel and declare, "it is done!" and an attendant would scurry away to make it so.... I sustained a knee injury and a young woman was dispatched to our room to ice the joint and serve me at bedside... Our crystal decanters were refreshed with spirits nightly and the mini bar was stocked at request... Truly a grand property with Rolls Royce transfers to the train and perfectly located for incredible views and town shopping.
