A flight to Jeddah during Ramadan will be slightly different as the majority of passengers would be on pilgrimage to haj. The flight will be catered normal if it operates between sunset and sunrise. If you are flying during daylight hours a cold meal will be offered to those not fasting, while a take away box will be given to those who wish to use it to break their fast later. Alcohol is not served on DXB-Saudi flights at any time of year.

EK803 is normally re-timed during Ramadan to coincide with sunset and then the normal hot meal is served after take off for people to break fast.

All food outlets within Dubai airport are open and operate as normal.

Although muslims are not required to fast when travelling during Ramadan, depending on the length of the journey, most will. Any day of fasting skipped during the holy month will need to made up at a later time.
