Yes they did although I don't remember the Y meals. Ice cream bars (kept in dry ice packs) were distributed after the meal service to accompany the films. This was after VS made a big song and dance about their film service having popcorn and ice-cream or some such thing and BA responded.

Once VS quietly dropped their equivalent I presume BA also withdrew the matching offer, although I think I had long stopped flying Y by that stage.
