I was declined for too many inquiries. Reconsideration call went nowhere.
As a data point for what might be "too many" I have put 8 hard inquiries on my account in the last 6 months but hadn't applied for a credit card for years and years before that.
Made two follow up calls today:
1. My biz app was denied for too many new lines. They said they saw 5 new ones from Feb and wanted to see how I handled those and then subsequently how they report to the credit bureaus. Tried explaining the difference between biz and personal use since I do have a biz, but that went no where. Guess I'll try again next week.
2. Personal app went through said I'll get the official communication next week and apologized for it taking so long.
Find it a little weird, but oh well.
