My fiancee and I are staying 5 nights at a OWB at Hilton Bora Bora Nui in a few weeks for our honeymoon. I haven't planned out the itinerary completely, but I know we're going to do a diving tour during 1 of those days. I'm guessing the gear will be provided, but I figure we'll snorkel on our own intermittently during the other days.

Is it worth buying and bringing our own snorkeling gear? The equipment is pretty cheap, but my concern is that 2 masks, 2 snorkels, and 4 fins can weigh a lot and take up a lot of precious luggage space. We're going to other destinations as well, so is it worth carrying snorkeling equipment we'll use for 3 days when we'll be overseas for 15 days? Do the resorts rent out equipment for cheap?
