There is nothing wrong about venting. Sometimes, travelling can be a paradoxically nerve-racking context and when one experiences flight time changes, cancellations, delays, etc this can be very frustrating. One of the purposes of FT is also to let people vent and some posters might be taking this too literally sometimes. However, if you also want suggestions, then it would help if you gave more details about what has happened, when and where you are flying, etc. It is possible that BA could change your connecting flight. It is also possible that if you call again and speak to another agent, they will let you cancel assuming the time changes are reasonably significant (ie not 10 minutes or something like that!) But anyway, for now, I'd suggest that when the bulk of the frustration is over, you try to re-explain giving some details about what the problem is and what you would want to achieve exactly.
