I thought these charges are called Carrier Administrative Charges.
They have stopped advertising that AP tickets are free tickets since a long time ago.
Why would they call them Fuel Surcharges? This would open a can of worms and then they have to justify the increase in fuel price etc. They could just shrug it off and say this is a co-pay required by the plating carrier (AC).
