Two, policy (AFAIK) has been to keep (at least some of) the clubs open when flights are delayed. Perhaps others can comment on whether this is an official policy. But I know that it has happened.

The frustration associated with diminution of benefits is bad enough. The unpredictability of the delivery of benefits should not be added into the mix.

The clubs, in theory, are there as a convenience to the members. They are not there as a convenience to the employees. I stand behind the employees as much as anyone else, but if their job description says they stay until the club closes, and the club stays open when flights are delayed, then that is their job description.

I feel badly when my flight is delayed and the shuttle driver sent to the airport to pick me up has to wait an extra hour or more, but that is his job description.

It's after 11:00 PM and when I finish this, I am going back to finish writing a report for a client... because that is my job description.
Obviously, you are the expert here.
