It is new and I have just bought the medium. I do not have user review and experience with this line but I have positive history with B&R. This is the first hard shell from them and it is the first zipper hard shell that I have bought after being being used to Samsonite Oyster Clam shells. I bought it due to the 80/20 split where the Samsonites were always 50/50.
I saw one of these (the 21 -22" external) today in a military exchange here in DC. I checked it out thoroughly. It looks like a great piece, certainly as well made as my Rimowa Salsa Dlx 2-wheel and a lot cheaper. The 26" Torq is in the running to replace my old 26" Tumi; it weighs half as much and can probably hold more. I like the graphite or gray color in this line. Nice product.
