Well, the day I applied for this card, I saw they approved my application and gave me 9K credit line. However, I just called in to check my application status again. And this time it said they are still processing my application, and the decision would be made within 3 business days.

I had 10 credit cards before I applied AA, priority club and club carlson. So I think I have a lot of accounts showing on my credit report. They pulled my credit report from EX, which had 8 hard inquiries before I applied club carlson. During the recent year, I had hard inquiries from Barcley in last Sep and DEC, amex in this Jan. Then last THU I applied AA and priority club. This MON I applied Club Carlson. And I got instantly approved. So I don't think too many accounts is the real reason US bank denied your application. But don't know how they evaluate it.
The weird thing is I got an email about the credit alert the next day morning. And no doubt, it is a hard inquiry from US bank. However, the inquiry is under the Business Loan category instead of under the Credit Card category. I applied the premier personal card, BTW. anyone had the same situation?
