OK, agreed, somewhat stupid to make up a number. Not sure the next step for this flight. If I try again with correct flight number it says "in process".

I have just tried for another, more recent flight. Again star alliance not aegean. With a non 390 ticket number it appeared to process (website now updated?), will keep an eye and see if it posts to my account.
