That may well be the case. But E35s were never the ones who skewered me on upgrades, it was SEs and those on Latitude flight passes. On some routes, like YYZ-FRA, that's still very much the case..
I do understand your frustration but how is it AC's fault if a SE and those on Lat fares get e-up priority over 50k? If you are implying that it should be equal footing, then all altitude/aeroplan tangerine members should also have the same e-up window opportunity as E's and SE's.
I think everyone here is upset that international T fares only earn 50% status miles. Personally I think it would have been more ideal (for us flyers) that T AC fares earn 100% AQM on Int'l routes but only Flex & up fare class would allow e-upgrade opportunity?
