Expiration
Can anyone confirm that transfering points from AmEx to BA Avios will reset expiration?

I tried a purchase via itunes - bought a giftcard. Did not realize giftcards are not eligible.

I have 2 weeks until expiration ... want to make sure my recent transfer will take care of it ..
