Unfortunately, AC cannot compete with many other airlines on many other routes either. It isn't just one flight to one destination. This latest booking is only one example of what I've experienced time and again over the past year. It started with a trip to Korea, where AC was three times the price of an almost identical routing on United. The more I shopped around, the more I felt like a fool for automatically giving AC the business for so long.
I always go to ITA first, and AC almost always comes out cheapest for the flights I'm taking that have at least one end in Canada. Sometimes there's a slightly cheaper option, but I'm not going to fly Delta to go from $500 to $480.
I guess I don't fly the expensive routes.
