Are you having checked bags?

My wife and I did an overnight layover in SIN last April and while things worked out okay - it was less than comfortable.

Inbound (from USA) - slept airside and went downstairs at ~5/6am and couldn't find our bags - filed a request with the baggage company - miraculously luckily found our bags spinning on a belt that was for a different flight six hours after we arrived...

Outbound (back home) - learned our lesson and immediately claimed our bags and did as much as possible to kill time - we ate at the food centre in the basement and then went to Killiney Kopitiam and then slept for a few hours under the bright lights adjacent to the UA check-in counters (despite other postings, didn't get woken up by policemen with big guns)...then when the UA counters opened, finally checked-in, used the SATS lounge, took showers and flew back home...

This was our 5th+ time in Singapore and we were familiar with the lay of the land but the overnight connection with two Itins with checked luggage seemed to be the problem, plus the bad experience coming in from the USA scared us enough to not try it again and leave our baggage for a few hours by staying airside.

Good Luck,
jeremy
