I was looking at AC flights to/from the Washington area in early October. I've been flying this route for a full year. The prices right now are more or less the same that they've been for months, except now there is a red arrow saying that there is only one seat left at that price. Am I supposed to believe that ticket price that I've been purchasing for months is all of a sudden about to disappear?

Perhaps, but it will be back. I'm not buying right now, but I would be willing to bet heavily that I will get that ticket on the same plane at the same time for less money later on. Or I will fly United
I'm not entirely sure what the website means by "one seat left at this price" -- does it mean on the plane as a whole, in an absolute sense? Or are there a limited number of seats for sale in the fare class
at this moment? But I smell a rat.
