Forget about using that bill in any restaurant/shop and such.
I would try really hard to get it changed by your money changer before traveling to Italy/EU (it will be no use at all to you if you need to pay a cab or pay something on arrival).
Failing that, I would make time to try get it changed by a foreign exchange counter in the airport arrival lounge.
Last resort failing all above is indeed a bank
