So long story short, after MAJOR issues getting a reservation "fixed" I went to check seat assignments and found out that US Airways screwed up and never booked my tickets on Air Canada as part of an award ticket.

Here's what I had booked:
EWR - PHX - YVR (US Metal)
YVR - YYZ (Air Canada)
YYZ - EWR (United)

4 people are on the PNR (including me) and we're traveling with 6 others. The YVR - YYZ flight was the ONLY flight that would get me back to EWR without having to be on a redeye, but because they screwed up, they now have me on a redeye which is completely unacceptable (besides the fact that we're traveling with others and have the same ride to the airport, I really don't want my kids having to do a redeye).

There are still revenue seats available on the Air Canada segment, but AC refuses to give those seats up to US for use as award seats. I'm being told there's nothing that they can do.

For what it's worth, I'm US Silver (if that helps, probably not) and while they agent is very nice, she's unable to help other than offer 5k miles on my account and $100 off future travel x 4 as a good will gesture. Anyone have any ideas what recourse I have? Any way to get this straightened out? I bought miles to make these specific flight arrangements too. Ugh.
