Is the OP going to be staying in one of the rooms? Will the OP even be at the property when the stays occur?
@MSPeconomist - Yes. I will stay in one of the rooms while another family member is in the other room. We are both MR members. We are trying to figure out if each of us can get night credits respectively while one of us pays for it.

In what way have the responses gone two ways? I don't think a single person has said you can do what you want to do. Night credit and points for the same room cannot be split between two people.
@VickiSoCal - my bad. I was multi-tasking while on a call and responding to the posts here. I re-read all the posts earlier today. You are right. Doesn't seem possible.

I'll scale back my expectations on being able to do this. I'm inclined to just have the system credit nights to the payer (besides the points) and be done with it. I did read the Marriott T&C and understand that the payer can't get night credits for all the rooms he's paying for. That makes sense as the payer can only sleep in one room on a given night.
