Good point. You have to wonder why they'd want to sully the AC brand by integrating this inferior offering so tightly into the existing AC system.
Zip and to a lesser extent, Tango were offered as standalone products with their own identities, websites, etc. You can bet there will be people innocently booking on the AC.com website expecting typical TATL AC service and receiving something much worse.
As much as Y gets derided here, the reality is that AC's product is not that bad... and a far sight better than what the likes of AT offer. I'm not sure why they'd want to lower their brand image. It would be like GM offering some kind of basic Korean econobox under the Buick badge instead of putting a Chevy bowtie on it. The brand, as maligned as it is, is still worth something and it's madness to tarnish it that way.
