Congrats with your new job!
-Make sure you have all the require travel document for the countries you will be visiting. I know that you will need a Visa for China (except for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan or if you are staying in PEK for less than 72hrs, and PVG for less than 48hrs) and Vietnam for American Citizens.
-Photocopy your passport and credit cards for back up, and write down their emergency number
-Puchase travel insurance
-Check the local weather before you leave
-Bring your FF card , I am assuming you are with United MP because you are base in BOS.
