Fairfield Inn NY Long Island City: silver elite review

I had this exceptional experience last Friday: I received a welcome elite package as a low silver in a hotel in NYC! ^

I had 2 stays in this hotel. This was my second stay. I did not receive something on my first stay. I don't know if this is inconsistent or a decision of the hotel to only offer this to silver members as of their second stay.

Anyway, it was unexpected and made me happy.

What else can I say about this hotel:
- Friendly and attentive service. The second time they specifically asked if I had any room in mind, which side of the hotel, ... (without me requiring to ask it) Helpful as well: I got to borrow an adapter for my stay and even the days in between my stays as I forgot mine.
They remained professional as well in exceptional cases.
(I created separate threads as I think both these elements are not linked and deserve two separate stories)
- Same is true for the shuttle driver. Friendly and helpful. If you ask he will drop you off at a nearby restaurant.
- Not all rooms are equal. I stayed in room 510 & 907. Second room is bigger. First one is facing Van Dam str. Second one looks onto the highway.
You have some noise in the room but not to such extent that it should stop you from sleeping. (I have yet to find a hotel in NYC without street noise)
- Bfast is what you expect a Bfast in a Fairfieldd Inn to be.

Location: you have to decide for yourself. You should know this hotel is not where the action is so you have to consider if you go for price or for location.
