I seem to recall 7-8 years ago (+/-) when DL hit the 1000 departures a day mark from ATL. That number has varied slightly, but it has remained at or just below that mark since. That includes during the merger as well as today. The reality is that regardless of your
perception, the number of DL departures at ATL has remained relatively static for several years. @:-)
You may feel that MEM has been wronged by DL, but if so, it has not been to the benefit of ATL.
