Is it legal to deny entry to Paramedics? (W Hotel Taipei)

Just read an interesting news article today, in which staff at the W Taipei denied access to premises, paramedics responding to a guest's suicide attempt (pill overdose) a couple of weeks ago.

Paramedics might sue hotel for obstruction

Instead of letting paramedics enter the property, they brought the unconscious guest to the paramedics waiting in the lobby... The local news is speculating that the hotel is trying to prevent startling other guests and otherwise ruining the atmosphere.

I don't know about anyone else, but in my opinion, paramedics should be the only ones allowed to mobilize a patient... on the surface it sounds pretty obsurd that EMT's were denied access. Seconds count in an emergency situation....
