The 7th floor have few renovating suites (renovated 4 or 5 years ago) , on the right side facing the hotel and they're beautiful. If there is a renovation one day it'll be on the same style than these suites..
Stayed in one of those renovated 7th floor suites a few years ago, just after they had been done. You are quite right; they are beautiful, and have been very tastefully decorated in classic Carlton style, but with an extra touch of luxury/quality to the finish. And Bvlgari toiletries too, if I remember correctly. Wife was very happy! ^
