Is civil unrest in Turkey causing TA scheduling problems?
I'm curious to know what impact the civil unrest we see on the nightly news relative to the imposition of more fundamentalist policies for Turks is leading to significant reductions/alterations of Turkish Airline flights. I visited Istanbul for five days several years ago and found the Turkish people very warm and approachable towards all foreigners. But with the nightly news filled with pictures of massive protests and confrontations, I can't help but think this is going to impact the nation's tourism industry. Most travelers are understandably fickle when it comes to visiting countries where civil unrest is significant. What is the opinion of Turkish Airlines frequent flyers on this issue?
