Do you have checked bags? If so, there is very little chance of making the connection. If hand carry only, you are fine. UA checkin at SYD closes 60 minutes prior to departure. The issue you have is that bags often don't start getting to the belt for 30 minutes in Sydney and then you still need to make it through Customs which could take a while.
