Hotel and Car Awards are available to Premier members and/or United MileagePlus Chase Cardmembers who in each case are also members with a MileagePlus account address in the 50 United States, Puerto Rico or Guam.
I've done it many times for GM friends. All you need is a Mileage Plus Account with miles in it.
