EK has too much gold and wood trim however is very comfortable. Whether or not you wish to take a shower while up in the air I suppose is really up to you.
Probably just personal preference, but I prefer LH over SQ for a number of reasons.
- The SQ suites (cubicles) make the cabin feel cluttered.
- Even though the SQ cubicles have doors, the openings in the windows don't give you real privacy. (In this respect, the TG leased 77s are the only suites I've been on that are truly private.)
- With the privacy screens, LH provides a high degree of privacy without making the cabin feel cluttered.
- Better aisle access on LH makes it easier to get up and about, put on slippers, get stuff from bags, etc.
- Generally the seat across the aisle is open in LH so you can generally have a separate seat and bed.
- Service on LH generally feels a little more personal and friendly.
- Only downside on LH is the rather limited IFE offerings.
- Overall I find the LH cabin really well done ergonomically and in terms of design.
Again probably just personal preference. How do others feel?
