CP ran the YVR-LIM route (or YVR-SCL) up to the recession in the early 90s.

The hurdle my mind can't get over is why a West Coast USA to SCL or LIM has not been done by an American airline. If I coiuld figure out a reason why SCL/LIM could work for Canada but not currently the USA, then I would be a much bigger supporter for the route.
