That seems much better for me, particularly since I have two AA Citi cards, one of which is still the World Elite (or whatever it's called right now). Previously the cheaper cards were only 1 mile/$2 spent.
Bronze cards earn 1 mile/$2 and have no annual fee.
Gold cards earn 1 mile/$1 and have a $50 annual fee, plus a few benefits.
Platinum cards earn 1 mile/$1 (2 miles for AA purchases) and have an $85 annual fee, plus a slew of benefits.
