The 10% of miles redeemed back is a pretty good benefit.
That said, if none of that matters to you, Citi has multiple versions of the AA cards -- including a version with just a $50 fee that earns 1 mile per dollar but has none of the other benefits.
That seems much better for me, particularly since I have two AA Citi cards, one of which is still the World Elite (or whatever it's called right now). Previously the cheaper cards were only 1 mile/$2 spent.
