If you're not looking to stay near the parks but simply looking around Orlando, the Comfort Inn Winter Park Village (formerly the Comfort Inn Lee Road) is just off I-4 about five miles north of Orlando. Clean hotel, reasonable location (downtown Winter Park, ten minutes away, can be a fun change of pace from the normal Orlando vibe), and AAA rates at around $50 per night--in other words, at what the Econolodge costs for two nights but with the benefit of getting 8K points in a Friday/Sunday combo rather than over the course of two two-night stays.

Want to do it all Friday/Saturday? A couple of exits up the road in Altamonte Springs, there's a Quality Inn available for roughly the same price. It's a newly converted Hampton Inn--just make sure you get a room in the wing of the motel farthest from I-4 in order to get a good night's sleep.
