No concern about being denied a work visa, BUT my instructions (from folks within the government) are to enter on a 90 day tourist visa and during that time, the work visa will be processed. I'm also talking with my in country contacts about the way to go, I'm sure there is a SOP.

BUT, as I've given a lump sum for travel (rather than getting reimbursed) I'd rather use miles and pocket the cash (and they're fine with that) so I can ride in the nice seats versus Y. But doing so means I have to think about possible contigencies beyond SOP.
