I don't think I've ever really noticed a difference .. Looking back I seem to have earned 750 Avios a rental lately (500 + 250 bonus) .. Of those recent rentals I'm sure some were booked on AvisBa, some on Avis.co.uk and some on Avis.com ... I see no difference in the miles posted to my account as far as I can tell.

Also I've never worked out the Avis Preferred stuff since I think only rentals in the UK and Continental Europe count for this with Avis UK .. Ireland (where Avis is an independent franchise??) doesn't count and that's where I'd rent most frequently and I don't think spend in North America counts either.

(I've no clue what the advantage of being in a more exalted tier of Avis Preferred is ?)
