Seeming as Avis now have the three different Preferred levels, can anyone confirm whether or not booking through the AVIS BA website (as opposed to the Avis website) means my expenditure / number of rentals counts towards the number of rentals / expenditure requirements to progress through their Preferred membership levels?

As I often travel alone the "upgrades" of the First and First Plus levels are obviously an additional perk but when I am travelling with the GF it is always good to get the free driver (and upgrades would also be a bonus too!)

Would be interested to know what other regular AVIS users do! Thanks
I normally check both as frequently the price isn't the same ( especially in North America avisba is usually but not always significantly cheaper than avis.com )

Personally I find that's more important than whatever levels Avis Preferred have or the relatively small amount of Avios you might earn
