I have been an Avis Preferred member for ages and I see that they have recently changed their programme to have 3 levels of membership. I make about 10 to 15 rentals per year and have always done it through the AVIS BA website as I understand this is the way to get more Avios plus as a GCH I get the free driver. - You get more Avios through booking via AVIS BA website right?????

Seeming as Avis now have the three different Preferred levels, can anyone confirm whether or not booking through the AVIS BA website (as opposed to the Avis website) means my expenditure / number of rentals counts towards the number of rentals / expenditure requirements to progress through their Preferred membership levels?

As I often travel alone the "upgrades" of the First and First Plus levels are obviously an additional perk but when I am travelling with the GF it is always good to get the free driver (and upgrades would also be a bonus too!)
