In my opinion this is not correct. As I understand the T&C you earn points if you pay for accommodation that has your MR number on it's folio.
To ensure Points are automatically posted to the correct Membership Account, the Member's Rewards Program Membership Number must be present on his/her room folio and up to two additional rooms, as applicable.
If you would want to grant the nights credit to someone else this would require his MR number to be added to that folio.
So I don't think you can split this...
