This is the most recent thread I can find on this subject and I am about to embark upon a car purchase myself.

This is driven (poor pun) by my return to the UK after 9yrs living in the US. I sense I am in for a rude awakening with regard the availability of AMEX friendly outlets.

Does anyone have a more recent experience of this - Is there a clever work around or do I simply need to start calling individual dealerships on an ad hoc basis?
