Since we're dreaming, if I was building from scratch my laundry would be upstairs. No need for a chute, no need to cart clean clothes back upstairs.
But on second thought, why have an upstairs at all? Having a second floor is an admission that I didn't have enough land to put all my rooms on one level. LOL!
