I think we're talking about two different things. Yes, you can buy a *Alliance flight booked on UA stock for LON-BRU.

But the original question was about how UA had an actual UA flight, on UA equipment, running LHR-BRU-LHR. It comes and goes, and seems to have something to do with the need to use up LHR slots when they drop below a certain level and/or less expensive overnight fees at BRU.
