Can't say I really talk to my ambassador much (my fault, not theirs).

Two years ago when I first qualified, we exchanged the typical "tell me about yourself" emails and I indicated I really like coffee and am a bit of a snob. About a week later I got a package from my ambassador with two pounds of whole beans from her favorite coffee shop in Austin, TX (where she lives).

A year later around the time when I re qualified for the the program we exchanged emails again, but this time she specifically asked about alcohol preferences and I mentioned the typical craft beers, whiskey, etc. I also mentioned that I really like wine, but really wished I knew more about it and was more informed when ordering. A week later she sent me a book about wine for beginners.

I've also received hand written holiday cards from her.

I was blown away with both packages and the cards. They were really thoughtful and unnecessary.

As to special items at hotels, I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary, I've received the typical cheese, nuts, and sparkling water at some properties, but I always choose the points amenity so that may be why.

Like I said before, I don't really utilize my ambassador for anything (still not really sure what to ask for). My only real wish would be if she was able to get me upgraded to nicer rooms more often
