Try and buy it. I was on the phone with QF for quite a while on different days with different agents and supervisors. I was amazed and upset that they could not put me on a BA flight from HKG to LHR which I have done many times in the past. They said that those routes have simply been pulled from their system and the only choice I have now is to route through DXB and continue with EK. Even if booking first class, it doesn't matter. Maybe the web shows them and perhaps when you try to buy you get the error. I don't know.
It took me all the way to the payment page. I have no need to travel SYD-AMS so I cannot confirm a processed payment, but the site seemed very willing to go through with the booking.
In any case, I still don't see solid evidence that suggests QF is leaving or even contemplating leaving Oneworld or that a Oneworld implosion is imminent. I do see a founding member of Sk***am no longer being MQM-eligible for another Sk***am founding member's FF program. Meanwhile, QF's earnings tables for Oneworld and other partner airlines remains quite solid, as do other Oneworld airlines' FF programs' inclusion of Qantas in their earnings tables.
