There are some very wealthy people who live on the Monterey Peninsula - Pebble Beach, Carmel, for example - and fly frequently to S Calif. I think this would appeal to them.

Also, I agree with calwatch that Palo Alto is almost the perfect airport for Silicon Valley and the whole peninsula. It is no more than 15 minutes from San Jose to the south or anywhere south of downtown SF to the north.
